About Julienne Tatkovic

I support women through fertility, pregnancy, postpartum and the hormonal transitions of perimenopause and menopause. Many of the women I see are looking for steady, thoughtful care alongside their medical treatment, or they are searching for another way to understand what is happening in their bodies.

I also work with skin conditions from a whole body perspective. Rather than focusing only on the surface, Chinese medicine looks at how digestion, hormones and stress may be contributing underneath. This can offer another way forward for people who feel they have tried many approaches without lasting change.

Chinese medicine offers a different lens. Rather than separating symptoms, it looks at patterns and underlying imbalance. No two menstrual cycles are the same. No two menopause journeys are the same. Treatment should reflect that.

I am an AHPRA registered Chinese medicine practitioner, acupuncturist, herbalist and yoga teacher.

How I Work

When you come to see me, the first step is to listen to your story. I want to understand your history, your concerns, your goals and what feels out of balance for you. From there, I create a treatment plan that may include acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, dietary guidance and supportive lifestyle suggestions.

I often work collaboratively with GPs, fertility specialists and other health professionals. Acupuncture and herbs can sit comfortably alongside conventional care, especially in fertility treatment, pregnancy support and hormonal health.

I also bring my experience as a yoga teacher into my clinical work. Breath, rest and gentle movement are not add ons. They are often part of restoring resilience to the nervous system. How often do you get the chance to truly slow down and be supported?

Mei Hua Chinese Medicine Clinic provides a caring and comfortable environment for healing and wellbeing.

Plum (梅: mei) is a highly valued plant in Chinese Culture. The beauty of its tree and blossoms inspires many works of art and poetry, while its fruits have been commonly used in Chinese culinary and medication.

Plum blossoms (梅花: Méi Huā) usually bloom by the end of winter against the snow and frosts. It beautifies its surrounding while other plants shed their leaves and rest in the harsh cold weather, offering unequaled view in the season. For this special quality, the plum blossom was admired as an icon of endurance and perseverance.

Its timing in the budding had made it a symbol of rebirth and faith for the return of the spring. Therefore, it became the representative flower of winter in the “Flowers of the Four Seasons” (四季花: Si Ji Hua) along with Orchid (spring), Lotus (summer) and Chrysanthemum (Autumn).
